Xillio Announces OEM Agreement With SDL

Xillio, international specialist in the field of content migration and integration of large business platforms, announces an OEM agreement with SDL, a leader in global content management and language translation software and services. As part of this agreement, SDL integrates Xillio software into its translation technology product line, starting with SDL Managed Translation.

(PRWEB) - Xillio connectors now allow users access to various content repositories directly from SDL Managed Translation, a cloud-based enterprise translation solution. Available connectors include Zendesk, Adobe Experience Manager, GitHub, Liferay and Microsoft SharePoint. Because of these connectors, documents from the connected repositories are readily available in the Managed Translation user interface, which makes the translation process considerably easier than in the past.

Documents immediately available
When users translate a document within Managed Translation, they can now use Xillio connectors to directly browse all content from the connected content repositories and select a document from there. It is no longer necessary to download the document from the source system, save it locally and upload it into the Managed Translation interface. In addition, the connectors ensure that the translated document is returned to the right place in the source system. Depending on the structure of the source system, the translated document is either placed in another language tree or the document receives a different name. The original document is never overwritten.

Thomas Labarthe, Executive Vice President of Business and Corporate Development at SDL, said the following about the collaboration: “SDL is determined to become the most open and connected vendor in the market to better serve our diverse customer needs. The ability to connect to a large variety of content repositories from within our solution reduces human error and streamlines the translation process. This partnership signals our dedication to providing an open and connected platform to ensure customers can optimize their localization projects. “

Likewise, Rikkert Engels, CEO and founder of Xillio, said: "The collaboration with SDL is a logical outcome of our strategy and vision on the content services market. Too much content is stored separately in multiple silos. This has a negative impact on end-user productivity and leads to high costs and long lead times for the development of new services. Our integration layer and connectors break down content silos and make sure that new features can be developed very quickly."
