Xerox's e-Discovery Division Launches Managed Review Service Offering

The e-discovery division of Xerox Corporation has announced the launch of its managed review service offering. Xerox Litigation Services is offering the new solution, which complements the company's end-to-end discovery technology and services.

The new services are available to existing clients already using Xerox's e-discovery solutions, in addition to corporations and outside counsel using third-party hosted review platforms.

The new managed review services enable Xerox to provide clients with more comprehensive and flexible options for managing the e-discovery process.

The managed services approach includes the use of the company's proprietary, Web-based OmniX review platform, as well as the CategoriX technology-assisted review. It also covers the do-it-yourself approach using Lateral Data's all-in-one Viewpoint software along with a customized hybrid of insourcing and outsourcing.

Xerox's new services are meant to maximize the efficiency of the review process and ensure each project is properly planned, documented and monitored to create a defensible end result. Key elements in the managed services approach include industry-leading review team selection criteria, comprehensive training on both proprietary and non-proprietary platforms, and intelligent workflow design and quality control protocols.

Other features include detailed reporting and documentation, along with rigorous data security and integrity processes and protocols.

The new managed review services are being led by Foster Gibbbons, senior director of Managed Review. The industry veteran has more than two decades of experience building and managing large-scale e-discovery reviews and teams, and will lead a team of project managers and domain experts.

“Xerox has proven itself a capable partner on significant discovery projects for Pfizer,” said Edward Gramling, Sr. corporate counsel and discovery counsel with Pfizer, Inc. “The successful combination of technology and services expertise – now augmented by its managed review service that is led by professionals with whom we have worked extensively and who have earned our confidence – is a combination I expect will continue to earn high marks from clients.”

“We are pleased to offer clients a comprehensive and proven approach to managed review,” said Foster Gibbons. “Our clients will benefit from our expertise and proven track record in staffing, training and project management – all advantages to help clients move through the review process as efficiently, cost-effectively and defensibly as possible.”
