Xerox Docushare Enters Into OEM Agreement With Autonomy

Autonomy Corporation plc, a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, recently announced that Xerox Corporation has entered into an OEM agreement with the company. The new license will allow Xerox to integrate Autonomy's Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL) technology into its DocuShare enterprise content management (ECM) platform.

Xerox DocuShare users will experience enhanced search performance with higher volumes of content, as IDOL can support millions of documents in all file formats, and scales to support the largest enterprise-wide and portal deployments in the world. The IDOL server also significantly eases search index maintenance, historically a time-consuming and expensive process. The server will be integrated into existing DocuShare accounts worldwide, and into all future product releases.

"Content management technologies and services that help organizations save money, better manage content and improve efficiencies are essential in today's business climate," said David Smith, vice president and general manager, DocuShare Business Unit, Xerox. "The integration of Autonomy's IDOL Server takes DocuShare's ability to meet the needs of our global customer base to the next level."

Xerox DocuShare is a proven, award-winning, affordable Web-based software platform. It provides sophisticated, yet easy to use content management capabilities that deliver measurable business value and ROI to organizations of all sizes.

"IDOL's unique ability to understand the meaning of content in all file types and languages will significantly enhance DocuShare's user experience," said Stouffer Egan, CEO of Autonomy, Inc.
