While the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) installation was viewed as
"greenfields and compliant" for Powercor and CitiPower, the management of its
ongoing historical meter replacement program has been manual. It was this and
the management of electricity network faults that were the two field activities that
would be most impacted as a result of the AMI installation program.
