Web Content Management: Olive Software Announces Partnership With Spectrum Information Services
Olive Software announced a partnership with Spectrum Information Services. Olive Software is a global leader in ePublishing, structured web content management, and archiving technologies. Spectrum will use Olive ViewPoint, which provides browser-based access to any document with no additional client-side software, to add a scalable information server to Spectrum's extensive suite of document-centric services.
The joint solution will enable Spectrum customers to transform their critical business documents into a searchable information server. They will be able to take their unstructured documents from virtually any format, including paper, microfilm or electronic, and make them available online in a universal XML-based format. The main advantage of this approach is that customers can continue to view their documents in the original format, and because the information is in XML, they can repurpose that information to other applications, systems or devices throughout their IT environment. Also, with XML-based intelligent searches, the results yielded are far more targeted and useful.
