VML Insurance Programs Automates Claims Department With ImageNow
VML Insurance Programs (VMLIP), a service program of the Virginia Municipal League, has deployed ImageNow enterprise document management, imaging and workflow software from Perceptive Software to automate its claims department.
By implementing ImageNow, VMLIP is eliminating the manual inefficiencies of processing and approving claims while boosting customer service. Documents are secure and electronically available to authorized staff at any point in the claims process. Single-click access eliminates the cost and delay of paper copies and distribution.
Perceptive Software's patented LearnMode technology was integrated with VMLIP's host application, Gensource. Integration creates a direct connection between Gensource and corresponding information in ImageNow, enabling users to retrieve supporting documents from their Gensource screens instantly. With all pertinent claim information consolidated into one central electronic repository, claims staff can easily access documents in real time and complete administrative activities more efficiently.
"We chose ImageNow because of its features, integration ability and Perceptive Software's company philosophies," said Mary Kay Marchetti, business systems analyst, VMLIP. "ImageNow comes with the tools we need to manage and expand its use without vendor reliance. Our users adapted to ImageNow quickly, which is a testament to its ease of use. The flexible workflow engine allowed us to quickly automate many of our manual processes, freeing up resources and increasing overall productivity."
