Texas A&M University System And Oklahoma Christian Compare How They Scaled Laserfiche ECM

At #EDUCAUSE14, the Texas A&M University System (TAMUS), a statewide network of over 120,000 students, and Oklahoma Christian University (OC), a private, liberal arts college of 2,200 students, will share best practices for evaluating and instituting Laserfiche enterprise content management (ECM) as a shared service.

Long Beach, CA (PRWEB) - At #EDUCAUSE14, the Texas A&M University System (TAMUS), a statewide network of over 120,000 students, and Oklahoma Christian University (OC), a private, liberal arts college of 2,200 students, will share best practices for evaluating and instituting Laserfiche enterprise content management (ECM) as a shared service.

The session will compare TAMUS’s IT-centric methodology for ECM with OC’s interdependent approach. It will take place on Thursday, October 2, from 9:10 am – 10:00 am in Meeting Room W304F-H of the Orange County Convention Center.

Attendees will learn to use a Gartner-developed maturity model to assess the status of any higher education project, define key phases for project implementation and continually seek out opportunities for cost-efficiency, system expansion and strategic alliance between departments.

“This is an exciting session because it highlights the ways in which two very different institutions have applied maturity and shared service models to achieve economies of scale with their Laserfiche ECM implementations,” said Linda Ding, Education Program Strategist at Laserfiche. “The give and take will be instructive for colleges and universities of all sizes.”

Laserfiche will be on hand at booth #337 to demonstrate its software solutions and give away “Quicker Better Safer: Higher Education,” a book of customer-built solutions featuring TAMUS, OC and many others. Laserfiche will also host a reception on Tuesday, September 30, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at B.B. King’s Blues Club.
