Sungard Public Sector To Offer Creditron's Cloud-Based Remittance Solution

Creditron, Inc., a leading provider of remittance processing and receivables management solutions, announced recently that SunGard Public Sector will resell Creditron’s cloud-based remittance and receivables processing solution. SunGard Public Sector provides software and services to cities, counties, public safety and justice agencies, and nonprofits. Their solutions impact more than 150 million citizens in North America.

Today’s announcement extends the long and successful relationship between Creditron and SunGard. Creditron’s ItemAge platform has provided remittance processing capabilities for users of SunGard Public Sector’s Customer Information System (CIS) solutions since 1998. SunGard will now resell Creditron’s advanced Remittance Cloud Processing (RCP) solution to city and county government users of its public sector finance, administration and public works software solutions.

RCP eliminates many of the costs and obstacles of traditional on-premises solutions that have prevented lower-volume billers such as municipalities from automating their remittance processing.  With RCP, users pay a nominal upfront fee and a flat, all-inclusive monthly fee that includes a scanner. The cloud solution does not require any per-item charges or annual license fees. 

RCP extends the business case for automating remittance processing with advanced capabilities traditionally associated with on-premises solutions. The turnkey solution includes automated reading of payment transactions, co-mingled processing of all transaction types, MICR data lookup for exceptions processing, and electronic deposits via Check 21.

All images and data are encrypted and securely stored in the Creditron Cloud, eliminating the need for backups. RCP’s cloud architecture also ensures that billers always are using the latest version of the software. The pre-staged solution can be installed in as little as an hour. Online training and ongoing support via online chat, e-mail, Webex and telephone ensure that users can always get the information and help they need.
