Stratify Bolsters eDiscovery Production Capabilities

Stratify, a leader in electronic discovery and a wholly-owned subsidiary of information management services company Iron Mountain Incorporated, has augmented its eDiscovery production capabilities with enhanced electronic document conversion and imaging processes gained from its acquisition earlier this month of Legal Imaging Technologies, Inc. (LIT).

"Stratify established a strategic partnership with LIT in 2006, and we were consistently impressed by the quality and performance of their software tools as well as the efficiency and industry acumen of their team," said Sanjeev Srivastav, vice president of operations and technology management, Stratify. "This acquisition allows Stratify to respond more nimbly to our customers' document ingestion and production requirements, whether they are using our hosted Stratify Legal Discovery service or Stratify eVantage, our new on-premises early case assessment appliance."

Legal Imaging Technologies was founded in 1993 as a high-volume, paper-based litigation support services company for firms located in the San Francisco Bay area. As eDiscovery overtook paper-based litigation support, LIT developed high-performance software tools that focused on efficient conversion, stamping, optical character recognition (OCR) and other electronic discovery processes. LIT's product portfolio also includes special-purpose tools for supporting complex projects that involve both native-format data as well as multiple sets of image-format data, as in joint defense matters, or for maintaining large post-production databases for multi-party litigation or investigations.

The integration of LIT's processes and products into Stratify's eDiscovery capabilities will increase Stratify's production throughput capabilities by at least 200 percent in all data center operations supporting the North America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific markets.
