Plustek To Announce VIP VAR Program And WarrantyPlus At AIIM 2011 Expo

Plustek's WarrantyPlus is an extended warranty program which provides three-years of warranty protection for owners of Plustek scanners, and includes an Advanced Unit Replacement service offering. Plustek SmartOffice PS406 and PS406U
Now compatible with EMC Captiva ISIS Drivers, Plustek's SmartOffice PS406 and PS406U departmental class document scanners are designed with the image quality, paper handling and reliability required by the most demanding business users. ISIS Drivers ensure that scanners run at their rated speeds and take full advantage of the power inherent in the hardware. At a scan speed of 40 pages per minute, the PS406 and PS406U provide high performance at an outstanding value. The 100-page Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) and 4000 page per day duty cycle show these scanners built to scan documents in any heavy usage application. The SmartOffice PS406 and PS406U are designed to scan business documents up to 14" long and rigid cards, such as ID cards and drivers licenses, up to 1.2 millimeter thick, without operator adjustments. Mixed batches of documents can be scanned without sorting thanks to the leading class paper handling and image quality. The PS406U adds the additional feature of ultrasonic misfeed detection to prevent data and image loss due to documents that are not fed correctly.

The SmartOffice PS406 and PS406U have Single Touch buttons that automate up to nine different scanning jobs including: scan to searchable PDF, save to folder on a network or a computer, scan to email, scan to an application, scan to printer. Industry standard TWAIN drivers combined with TIF, JPG, PDF and Microsoft Office file formats ensure compatibility with thousands of scanning and imaging programs. Built-in image processing insures the highest image quality, reduces rescans, and increases OCR accuracy. With an MSRP USD of $899 (SmartOffice PS406) and $1,299 (SmartOffice PS406U), these scanners are affordable solutions for departmental scanning tasks and small businesses.
