OrcaTec Adds Accusoft Prizm Content Connect Document Viewer To Its Document Decisioning Suite

eDiscovery software provider embeds Accusoft technology to enhance document viewing and browser-based redaction

Accusoft, the leading provider of document, content and imaging solutions, recently announced that OrcaTec has selected Accusoft's Prizm Content Connect document viewer for incorporation into its advanced software for eDiscovery, predictive coding, text analytics, document review, risk management and compliance.

By incorporating Prizm Content Connect, the OrcaTec Document Decisioning Suite now enables users to view more than 300 different file types even more easily than before. OrcaTec’s users will operate the browser-based viewer to more cleanly and conveniently view, search, annotate and print documents. Because the viewer supports so many different file types, users will typically work with documents in their native file formats, preserving metadata and other content with discovery value that can be lost when files are converted to another format for viewing.

The viewer requires no special plug-ins, relying instead on functionality built into Flash or into any HTML5 browser. It features a redaction module that allows attorneys to easily remove sensitive information from documents for distribution while preserving the source document intact for compliance and other purposes. Prizm Content Connect requires only a simple server-side installation – no additional software is required on the client – which not only makes installation into software like OrcaTec’s convenient, but also helps ensure that documents display quickly, even very large documents. The viewer is designed for easy integration into many different types of applications.
