Orbograph Announces Key-Pay Convene Version 2.0
Orbograph, a leading developer of recognition solutions, today announced the general release of Key-Pay Convene, version 2.0. The new version includes several powerful new features that build upon Convene's already robust user interface, performance monitoring and web-based remote keying capabilities.
Leveraging Orbograph's patented Key-Pay technology, Key-Pay Convene is a fully Internet-based data entry/reject repair solution for imaging and forms processing environments. Key-Pay technology is currently in use at numerous sites across the U.S., processing millions of items each day in the banking and financial industry and offering the opportunity for employment to hundreds of active users worldwide. The Convene solution provides a highly cost-effective, remote data entry/repair option for any company currently utilizing traditional, commercially available forms processing and/or document capture applications. Convene subscribers can elect to implement Key-Pay Convene's full service remote data entry/repair capabilities, in which case all data entry functions are performed by Orbograph certified keying centers, or they can utilize an infrastructure-only option. This is designed for customers who have an existing distributed data entry work force but still wish to leverage the unique features that Key-Pay Convene offers. Both implementation options reduce operational costs and allow customers to realize significant improvements in data conversion accuracy, performance, privacy, security and overall ease of operation. The Convene solution also provides broad system and performance monitoring and an extensive, fully web-based reporting tool. By implementing Key-Pay Convene, customers will realize an immediate improvement in the ROI associated with implementation of their existing imaging and forms processing applications.
Key-Pay Convene, version 2.0 expands upon several of the features and functions previously available in Convene 1.0.
- Simplified communication requirements - Convene v2.0 uses a standard Internet communication protocol (XML over https). The only requirement for transmission of the image snippets and the associated data files is Internet connection at the client site. Special firewall configurations are no longer necessary.
- Reduced client 'footprint' - Unlike previous versions, Convene v2.0 requires no dedicated server at the customer site. A single DLL is all that is required and this can be installed in conjunction with the existing forms processing software (same server) currently in use by the customer.
- Enhanced data entry capabilities - Convene v2.0 offers the capability to perform reject/repair at the character level and key from image at the field level. This improves the data correction process by providing significantly higher levels of accuracy and speed than in previous versions.
- Improved performance monitoring - Convene v2.0 provides end users with the ability to track and monitor performance results at the keystroke/character level. Convene customers can utilize a Web browser to view statistical information on each field type at virtually any time interval they choose, i.e. hourly, daily, weekly, etc.
- Expanded integration options - Convene v2.0 is easier to integrate and install. Currently integrated with leading forms processing applications and recognition engines, Orbograph also offers a software developer kit (SDK), which allows system integrators and forms processing vendors to offer Key-Pay Convene benefits and capabilities to their clients in a seamless manner and as part of an overall forms processing solution.
"Current methods of data correction such as local manual data entry, remote terminal work or full outsourcing, should be evaluated closely for the real level of benefit they provide. This new version of Key-Pay Convene ‘raises the bar' of improvements that can be realized through an efficient data entry/correction solution," stated Roni Boker, Key-Pay Business Development Manager at Orbograph. "Improving the ROI of the data correction portion of a forms processing solution can be significant for end users, system integrators and forms processing vendors."
