Notable Solutions AutoStore Workflow Now Provides Capture On-Ramp For DocuWare Document Management System

Notable Solutions, Inc. (NSi), a leading developer of distributed content capture and workflow solutions, has released an update to its AutoStore document capture platform which supports capture to the popular DocuWare Document Management System (DMS).

AutoStore Workflow is a server-based application which orchestrates the capture and secure delivery of paper and electronic documents into business applications. The new integration with DocuWare version 5.1 enables users to scan directly into a DocuWare repository. If needed, AutoStore can scan once and deliver to multiple applications.

Security and Efficiency Features
AutoStore protects the security of a DocuWare repository by permitting users to securely log on to their MFP or other scanning device. Once logged on, they may also personalize their scanning, document indexing and output options. AutoStore can automate indexing by recognizing bar codes, and machine-printed characters. Full-text indexing is also available. Output conversion options include PDF and Microsoft Office file formats. Post-capture, AutoStore audits scanning operations to close the loop for security, regulatory compliance and efficiency.

Tight Integration
AutoStore Workflow tightly integrates with the DocuWare system to automatically convert and deliver captured documents into the DMS, correctly name them and generate the appropriate meta-tags. Thus, the documents can be immediately searched and retrieved, used in a business process workflow or meet records management requirements without the need for the user to switch programs or import or convert documents manually.

"Today I don't have to think about our imaging solution – it just works," commented Danny Satterlee, IT Manager for joint NSi, DocuWare customer Airgas South. "It was our vendor, Bits and Bytes Document Solutions, that made the AutoStore, DocuWare recommendation and subsequent implementation. Now that we are live with the system, I feel confident making the recommendation that my Airgas peers across the nation consolidate to this NSi AutoStore, DocuWare solution."
