NextDocs And Microsoft To Deliver New Life Sciences Seminar Series
"Compliance without Complexity" Seminar Series Scheduled for 7 Cities, Sessions Focused on Managing Regulatory Documents with SharePoint
NextDocs Corporation recently announced a joint seminar series with Microsoft to take place in seven cities across the U.S. in May and June. These events are the next in the "Compliance without Complexity" Seminar series, and are focused on how SharePoint can be used to manage R&D and Regulatory documents in pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, medical device manufacturers and CROs. The title of the seminars is "Managing Regulatory Documents with SharePoint: Connecting the Process from Authoring to Submission".
Attendees will see and hear how NextDocs and its partners are delivering to their customers a SharePoint-based solution that addresses a central challenge in managing regulatory documents: the need to connect disparate systems focused on different parts of the problem. Typically, regulated documents are housed in one system while they are being compiled and another as they are prepared for publishing and submission. Each system brings its own user interface and data model, and the result is that organizations usually have to invest substantially in integration and customization efforts to connect systems and integrate the process. The result is long implementation projects, disconnected processes and high costs.
With an integrated solution working from a single set of documents, the entire process can be simplified and accelerated. And with the DIA leading a push for a new reference model that ensures common structures and properties for R&D documents, there is now the potential to implement a complete, end-to-end process without the usual data transformations.
According to Zikria Syed, the president and CEO of NextDocs, "This next set of seminar sessions will show how a SharePoint-based solution can manage regulatory and submission documents from initial authoring and review to final publishing in one, fully-connected process. The result is dramatically lower costs than traditional approaches in which multiple systems are integrated and customized to manage different parts of the process.
The agenda for each ½ day session includes a presentation by Microsoft on their strategy in life sciences and sessions by NextDocs and its partner companies demonstrating a SharePoint-based solution for managing regulatory content. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
