Integrated Solutions, ECM Advisor 2009

I've been actively covering trends, best practices, and successful end user deployments in the ECM space for the better part of six years now. Over this time, I like to think I've become somewhat of an authority on ECM-related subject matter. However, whenever I'm
faced with an ECM question I can't answer or want the latest insight into an ECM trend, there is a select group of experts I consult. These are individuals I've had the pleasure of building relationships with over the years at ECM trade shows, vendor conferences, and analyst panels.

When the time came for Integrated Solutions to produce its annual ECM supplement, I thought, "What better way to provide our readers with keen insight into the latest ECM-related trends than to gather insights from these bright minds?" I reached out to each of my ECM comrades and asked them to contribute their thoughts; the response I received was overwhelming. In fact, I received so much good content I couldn't fit it all into the allotted space for the print supplement and had to run two of the articles exclusively in the extended Web version of the supplement. If you're considering, embarking on, or in the midst of an ECM implementation, do yourself a favor and read the articles authored by these experts contained in this supplement. Their insight and opinions can help shape your ECM deployment strategies and purchasing plans. The experts contributing to this supplement are:

Susan Moyse, principal of Moyse Technology Consulting — Susan has been analyzing the document scanner market since 1993. Her article in this supplement focuses on how the rise of distributed and general office scanning is impacting document management initiatives.

Harvey Spencer, president of Harvey Spencer Associates — Harvey has specialized in measuring and understanding the $2 billion worldwide capture software market since 1990. His article in this supplement focuses on why enterprise capture will see increased adoption in the business community in 2009 and beyond.
