The French mutual Group MAAF Assurances provides automobile, home, health, life insurance and other related services to more than three million clients.

MAAF Assurances sought to improve claims processing efficiency by implementing an electronic capture and processing system for inbound mail. The company chose to begin the project at its Niort location by implementing a solution that would involve centralized scanning of all mail and claims files entering the organization at that site. The goal of the project was to facilitate the sharing of information between different locations within the company network. MAAF Assurances also needed a solution that could capture and classify both paper documents and electronic information entering the organization.
