Linn County Rural Electric Cooperative Selects ImageNow
Perceptive Software, creator of ImageNow enterprise document management, imaging and workflow software, recently announced Linn County Rural Electric Cooperative has selected ImageNow for deployment across the enterprise.
Linn County Rural Electric Cooperative (REC) is a not-for-profit, member-owned distribution cooperative serving more than 23,000 members in portions of six counties located in Eastern Iowa.
Following a comprehensive search of document management solutions, Linn County REC selected ImageNow for its flexibility and seamless integration technology that will enable the organization to implement the solution with existing business applications.
"We made the decision to purchase ImageNow based on its ability to integrate with our core applications," said Donald Watson, Linn County REC information systems coordinator. "It was crucial for the solution to work seamlessly with the systems provided by National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC), one of the primary technology vendors that serve our organization," Watson added.
Linn County REC will deploy ImageNow in conjunction with NISC's iVUE application to further enhance the consumer information system (CIS). iVUE is also utilized by Linn County REC internally as an accounting and business solution (ABS). With its patented LearnMode technology, Perceptive Software can cost-effectively implement ImageNow non-programmatically, regardless of the business application or department, making it a highly scalable, enterprise-ready solution.
ImageNow will serve as a secure, centralized repository for documents across the enterprise. The organization plans to streamline its current processes by using ImageNow to automate search and retrieval methods. Built-in security features in ImageNow will enable each department to access the appropriate documents and information needed to operate more efficiently.
"We are excited to implement ImageNow within the cooperative. Single-click document access from within our iVUE application will improve productivity, adding value to the organization and our members," added Watson.
As the cooperative continues to grow, it will further optimize the use of ImageNow with current and future applications used in the industry, including integration with cutting-edge geographic information systems (GIS).
