Kofax Document Exchange Server unites the following components in the document capture and routing process:

• Input devices like multi-function peripherals (MFPs), scanners, and fax systems
• Back office applications used to automate business processes like Kofax Capture, workflow, line of business applications, and ECM systems (Microsoft SharePoint, IBM, FileNet, and others)
