Kofax Document Exchange Server enables customer facing employees to trigger back office, business processes directly from familiar, front offi ce equipment such as digital copiers, desktop scanners, and fax systems. Kofax Document Exchange Server unites the following components in the document capture and routing process:

• Input devices like multi-function peripherals (MFPs), scanners, and fax systems
• Back office applications used to automate business processes like Kofax Capture, workflow, line of business applications, and ECM systems (Microsoft SharePoint, IBM, FileNet, and others)
• Personalized user interface options that display specifi c processes applicable to individual users
