Kofax Appoints Industry Veteran As Chief Accounting Officer
Kofax plc,the leading provider of Intelligent Capture & Exchange solutions, recently announced the appointment of Gene Lynes as its Chief Accounting Officer. In this newly-created position, Lynes will oversee the company's global accounting functions. He will report to Stefan Gaiser, Chief Financial Officer, and work out of the company's operating headquarters in Irvine, California.
"Gene is an exceptionally talented professional who brings two decades of senior executive experience leading accounting functions for publicly- and privately-held software organizations ranging in size from start-ups to $2B in annual revenues," said Gaiser. "He is a strong leader who will focus on driving the implementation of processes, policies, procedures and controls that ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and enhanced compliance efforts while reducing our general and administrative costs and supporting our revenue growth initiatives."
Before coming to Kofax, Lynes served as Chief Financial and Operating Officer at Scantron Corporation, a leading provider of testing and assessment solutions that is part of M&F Worldwide Corporation . Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at EdVISION Corporation, a software business acquired by Scantron. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Lynes has also served as a Senior Audit Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP where he led the audits of numerous technology- and software-based businesses.
