Kodak Alaris Recognized As Best Channel Vendor By IT Resellers

Validating its outstanding IT channel programs, combined with first-rate products, service and support, Kodak Alaris was named one of Business Solutions Magazine’s Best Channel Vendors for 2016 in the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Hardware category. Now in its eighth year, the channel award highlights the top vendors as rated by Value Added Resellers (VARs) in categories including product innovation, features, reliability and how “channel friendly” the vendor is.

Who participated in the survey and how did they vote?
Last fall, Business Solutions Magazine’s (BSM) VAR subscribers were asked to participate in the Best Channel Vendors survey. BSM asked subscribers to rate their vendor partners on a scale of 0 (worst) to 5 (best) in several categories. Here’s a summary of how Kodak Alaris scored:

  • Service/Support: 4.40
  • Channel Friendly: 4.40
  • Channel Program: 4.20
  • Product Features: 4.80
  • Product Reliability: 4.80
  • Product Innovation: 4.40

“With so many suppliers competing for our attention, VARs and ISVs have a tough task choosing only the best vendors to help us address our customers’ information management needs,” said Craig Hennessee, President of Netlocity, a Document Management and IT Solutions provider based in La Plata, Maryland. “Working with Kodak Alaris, we’re confident we are providing our customers with solutions that give them the competitive advantage they need to keep pace with today’s accelerating market demands.”

More than 5,400 votes were cast in the Best Channel Vendor survey, making it one of the largest of its kind. Scores were tallied by the BSM editorial staff using a methodology provided by Penn State University.

Kodak Alaris introduced several new products and solutions in 2015 to round out its portfolio, including:

  • Kodak Capture Pro Software v5.1, a widely used scanning solution that helps businesses automate paper intensive business processes by transforming paper documents into critical business information.
  • An expanded line of Kodak i4000 Series Scanners, which are equipped to handle from 40,000 to 125,000 pages per day at speeds from 110 to 150 PPM.
  • And the new Kodak i2420, i2620 and i2820 Scanners, which build on the award-winning i2000 Series Scanner platform, adding new features and enhancements that address the challenges faced by users with heavy-duty desktop scanning needs.
