Kazeon Introduces Industry's First Federated eDiscovery For Global Enterprises

Kazeon Systems, Inc., a leading provider of intelligent Information Management and eDiscovery solutions, recently announced the availability of new federation, unified analysis and review capabilities for its eDiscovery solution. This capability is available in the Information Center product which provides enterprise-wide eDiscovery deployment, faster eDiscovery, improved accuracy and a dramatic reduction in analysis and review workloads by performing these functions in-place and from a single console. Information Center is designed for global enterprises with distributed locations to reduce eDiscovery costs by minimizing management overhead. It provides a unified view of targeted and relevant documents for eDiscovery analysis without requiring physical data movement across the WAN or creating network bottlenecks by taking expensive bandwidth resources from the networks. Further, Information Center allows corporations to execute and manage in-place legal hold, using KazHold, remotely.

Information Management needs are becoming increasingly difficult to manage with the growth in distributed network environments. This growth has been coupled with the demands placed on enterprises by FRCP and other compliance and security requirements. Until the introduction of Kazeon's Information Center product, enterprises have been faced with bringing data over WANs and creating network resource bottlenecks or physically shipping drives via FedEx & UPS between locations and then loading them back into the network for processing. This is a high cost and high touch model. Further, for early case assessment and first-pass review corporations do not have the ability to interleave search results for analysis from various locations and often produced inaccurate and incomplete results. Kazeon eliminates these problems and provides very effective federated analysis and review capabilities for finding all material data across large data sets.

Information Center provides:

  • Unified and Federated eDiscovery
  • Analysis and Review for distributed locations of global corporations
  • Early case assessment and first-pass review across remote offices and branch offices
  • Dramatic reduction in ediscovery review costs
  • Reduction in network load and impact on network bandwidth resources
  • Centralized management of clusters of Information Server nodes across an enterprise;
  • Distributed search across an entire network; interleaved display of search results for further analytics and workflow action
  • The ability to avoid expensive and unnecessary data movement across a network;
  • Central management of legal hold using KazHold
  • Automated, policy-based tagging within a central console;

With Information Center, eDiscovery requests are able to be completed with minimum management and bandwidth use, while allowing faster eDiscovery analysis and intelligent information federation across the enterprise. Also, Kazeon is able to ensure the authenticity of original data and the accuracy of search and analytics by allowing comprehensive in-place enterprise-wide searches.

"With Information Center, an enterprise-wide deployment of an information management and eDiscovery system is feasible and inexpensive," said Karthik Kannan, Kazeon's VP of Marketing and Business Development. "While other vendors are tied to agent-based federation that provides inaccurate results while putting a drain on resources, Kazeon is able to offer affordable, accurate, defensible and easy-to-manage eDiscovery federation."
