JustSystems Unveils xfy XBRL Report At 19th XBRL International Conference

JustSystems, the largest independent software vendor in Japan and a worldwide leader in XML and information management technologies, recently announced the general availability of xfy XBRL Report, the first and only desktop application that enables users to view, explore and report on multi-dimensional XBRL data; combine it with other content; then publish the results as richly rendered reports to HTML, PDF and other target outputs. Details on xfy XBRL Report were revealed at the 19th XBRL International Conference — taking place June 23-25, 2009 in Paris, France — where JustSystems will be speaking, exhibiting and sponsoring to help drive the XBRL standard forward.

xfy XBRL Report provides a trusted viewing and composing solution enabling preparers, filers, auditors, regulators, researchers, institutional and individual investors to work with and create compliant content and to leverage the XBRL standard without adding new costs, risks and complexity. Users can readily combine multiple sources of XBRL content into complex research, audit, financial and web-ready documents for easy distribution.

"I am impressed by the personalized approach that xfy XBRL Report offers to compose, render and publish complex documents," said Allyson Ugarte, CPA. "My particular application involved producing a composite report for audit findings from public sector agencies, and I found that xfy XBRL Report has a friendly interface that allowed me to be very creative in setting up reports because I can import graphic images, manipulate text from other sources, and, most importantly, read in XBRL instance documents. I believe that xfy XBRL Report will quickly be appreciated by any user who wants to create a document that can link XBRL data to information from other sources and produce a useful document that can be shared over the Internet."

Highlights of xfy XBRL Report include:

  • Instant viewing, analysis, and work capabilities with XBRL data — in real time and in human-readable, richly rendered formats.
  • Viewing of multi-dimensional XBRL-tagged reports.
  • Interactive viewing experience.
  • Risk mitigation via instant, interactive access to reviewers of financial data;
  • I-Metrix from EDGAR Online provides access to EDGAR Online's XBRL data repository directly from the xfy XBRL Report user interface.
  • Attribution references let users create views of XBRL data that connect back to the source data.

"With the SEC's mandate for XBRL now in effect, we're bringing xfy XBRL Report to the market at the right time," said Diane Mueller, vice president, XBRL development for JustSystems. "XBRL inherently lowers the risk of filing errors, and by leveraging xfy XBRL Report, key stakeholders across the financial information lifecycle now have the ability to make better business decisions because they can easily view and share historical financial data with confidence."
