IFS And ReadSoft Form North American Alliance

IFS has formed a North American strategic alliance with ReadSoft, a solution provider for automated document capture. Together the companies will deliver a document processing solution that integrates with IFS Applications, IFS' component-based enterprise software suite. According to the company, the solution allows IFS customers to benefit from ReadSoft's technology, which automatically captures information from documents, such as forms and invoices, and transfers the data into IFS Applications. The ReadSoft solutions are capable of capturing and identifying information such as account numbers, line item detail, and logos from all types of documents, including paper forms, faxes, web forms, and e-mail. ReadSoft's solutions then can determine the completeness and correctness of a document before sending that information to IFS Applications.

ARC Advisory Group Research Director Houghton LeRoy explained, "Automatic document capture and validation helps to ensure that critical enterprise information is not lost. It is important for this information to be readily available when needed for proper decision support and accurate tracking of data when making decisions around financials, safety, regulatory compliance, and legal issues."
