For more than 15 years, A2iA has been working with one of the largest banking groups in France to process millions of their customer’s checks. This long and successful partnership has since led to extending the alliance for the next phase of the bank’s business – mobile enrollment or mBoarding (mobile on-boarding).

Prior to this initiative, the account opening process for this major European bank required many hours of labor due to manual data-entry. Now, as a part of a prototype, a2ia Mobility is seamlessly integrated into the bank’s mobile app to deliver on-device and offline image clean-up and data extraction of the required customer identifying data points. The user simply takes a photo of the ID or document and a2ia Mobility automatically locates and extracts the information, which is then transmitted via the bank’s app directly to its IT system and then transferred to a digital safe box.

The new solution saves the bank time and significantly reduces its front and back office costs by automating the process and eliminating data entry, as well as making it easier for new customer data to be transferred to a ‘safe box’ and accessed by bank employees. a2ia Mobility, a patented software toolkit, enables the bank to see higher productivity levels, quicker processing speeds, as well as a major competitive advantage within the banking market by offering this new capability to its customers.
