FatWire Software Reports Record Growth
FatWire Software, the largest privately-held Web Content Management (WCM) provider, announced that the company delivered its strongest year ever with record-breaking fourth quarter fiscal year 2007 results. FatWire achieved an exceptional 35 percent growth in total revenue for the quarter which ended on December 31st, 2007, driven by a strong demand worldwide for its products and services.
In year-over-year revenue growth, FatWire grew a total of 21 percent. Despite a slow first half, 2007 software license revenue grew over 26 percent, and year-over-year earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) grew over 60 percent.
FatWire saw strong performances throughout the year in the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia— demonstrating the advantages of the company's global business model and investments made around the world. These investments included several technology acquisitions, and the acquisition of an Australian-based reseller to expand the company's global footprint and extend its market leading position.
FatWire attributes its successful year to a number of strategic choices. The company delivered new products and new releases of existing products, appointed new leadership, implemented its vision for Web Experience Management, and strengthened and expanded its product line with the acquisition of Infostoria, a Web 2.0 collaboration and content integration provider. Infostoria's products complimented the FatWire Content Server product and created a new revenue stream with the introduction of the FatWire TeamUp product for enterprise 2.0 collaboration.
"The combination of a new strategy, a broader positioning, an expanded product line, and a stronger team has turned FatWire into a company that is well on its way to taking advantage of the opportunities that the web market presents," said Yogesh Gupta, FatWire president and CEO. "As a result, FatWire's results were the best in its history."
The year featured several highlights in which the company:
- Extended its position as an industry leading web content management provider with a major new release of FatWire Content Server. With enhanced capabilities for targeted marketing and personalization, scalable dynamic content delivery, and easy business user interfaces, FatWire also delivered on its Web Experience Management vision.
- Introduced FatWire Analytics, a new product that helps customers measure the effectiveness of their web sites.
- Gained over 50 new customers and successfully delivered web sites for one of the top three auto makers, one of the top three media companies, one of the top three retailers, and one of the top three advertising companies.
