EMC Integrates With And Resells Alpine Solutions

Alpine Miner and Illuminator to integrate with Greenplum offerings

EMC Corporation is extending its partnership with Alpine Data Labs through a formal reseller agreement which will combine the EMC's Greenplum offering with the latter’s web-based predictive analytics application.

Alpine is a provider of cross-functional predictive analytics for big data.

As part of the agreement, EMC will resell Alpine’s Miner and Illuminator solutions fully integrated with its own Greenplum Database, Chorus, HD, and Data Computing Appliance (DCA) offerings.

According to EMC, by pairing the analytical processing capabilities of Greenplum with Alpine’s application that is designed for cross-functional teams, organisations will have a complete analytics infrastructure ‘in a box’, and the first in-database solution for big data predictive analytics.

EMC said in a statement that the extension of the partnership reflects on the companies’ goal to move beyond traditional business intelligence (BI), delivering in-database analytics and allowing customers to unlock the full potential of their data.
