StoredIQ eDiscovery Appliance 4.6 Increases Functionality Leadership With Expanded Platform Support And Enhanced eDiscovery Features
StoredIQ, Inc., whose innovative eDiscovery technology revolutionizes the way companies address eDiscovery and litigation readiness, announced recently expanded platform integration support and enhanced eDiscovery functionality designed to improve the efficiency of IT and legal teams performing work within the eDiscovery lifecycle.
"StoredIQ automates more of the eDiscovery lifecycle than any other solution," said Steve Killan, Enterprise Server Manager at James Hardie, the world leader in fiber cement technology. "StoredIQ delivers unparallel functionality in both breadth and depth from information management through the identification, collection, preservation and processing of electronically stored information." StoredIQ V4.6 includes:
- Expanded Platform Support
- Ability to insert unstructured information as records into the most current version of EMC Documentum and place those items under litigation hold
- Ability to insert, retrieve and manage information within Microsoft Exchange 2007 and SharePoint 2007
- Deeper eDiscovery Capabilities
- Improved query report analytics to assist with "meet-and-confer" sessions
- Ability to harvest additional email server objects such as tasks, contacts, calendar items, and notes
- Support of the EDRM XML V1.0 load file format
- Enhanced usability and productivity for pre-collection investigations
EMC Documentum Support
In addition to StoredIQ's existing ability to retrieve email messages and user files managed within EMC Documentum along with their supporting metadata attributes, StoredIQ V4.6 adds the ability to identify, tag, and classify unstructured ESI located on servers, storage systems or personal workstations, and insert those items as records into EMC Documentum. StoredIQ V4.6 has the ability to automatically apply Documentum keywords for inserted objects, as well as setting litigation hold status for records that need to be preserved leveraging Documentum's Retention Policy Services (RPS) mark-up features.
Microsoft Exchange 2007 and SharePoint 2007 Support In addition to StoredIQ's existing ability to retrieve email messages and user files managed within prior versions of Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint, StoredIQ V4.6 now provides support for Microsoft Exchange 2007 and SharePoint 2007. Unlike many competing solutions, StoredIQ can search, tag, and manage all mail items stored within Microsoft Exchange including calendar items, notes, tasks and contacts.
Improved Investigator Role
Additional workflows and features have been added to StoredIQ V4.6 to improve tasks performed by the "investigator role" so they can be more productive. Investigators now have greater visibility and control working with draft classifications in the early phases of the eDiscovery lifecycle. New display indicators throughout the user interface are available to show classification status that assist investigators when actively working on draft classifications. The workflow to create and update classifications leveraging queries from search results has also been enhanced for further ease of use.
New Query Report Analytics
New reporting features are available in StoredIQ V4.6 to provide additional value for early phase eDiscovery tasks such as case assessment and preparing for "meet-and-confer" sessions. Query reports can now provide a list of responsive files ranked by the occurrence of keyword terms, and also show total size estimates to be processed and produced. Flexible options include the ability for users to upload keywords from an external file, customize which field values are displayed in the report, and the ability to export query report results, which can be printed and shared for review.
EDRM XML Support
To improve interoperability with leading review and analytic applications, StoredIQ V4.6 production policies now support the creation of EDRM XML 1.0 compliant load files. This capability is in addition to StoredIQ's existing supported native and Concordance load file formats.
