Document Scanning Solution: eCopy Connector For EMC Documentum Content Server Awarded ''Designed For EMC Documentum'' Accreditation
Only Acccredited Document Scanning Solution Available for Use Across Digital Copier Brands
eCopy Inc., a leading provider of solutions that integrate paper documents into enterprise software applications, today announced that the eCopy Connector for EMC Documentum Content Server has received the "Designed for EMC Documentum" accreditation, a mark of quality and value EMC customers insist on for their enterprise applications. The accreditation demonstrates that eCopy Connector for EMC Documentum Content Server has successfully met a comprehensive set of criteria for excellent design, development, and implementation.
The eCopy Connector for EMC Documentum Content Server works with eCopy ShareScan OP software to enable EMC Documentum users to scan, index, and store information from hardcopy documents using their digital copier. As a result, EMC Documentum Content Server users can save time and effort by easily converting paper-based information into secure digital documents to keep pace with e-business processes.
"eCopy continues to demonstrate its leadership by offering an EMC-accredited MFP-based document scanning solution available for use across digital copier brands," said Rob Tarkoff, Senior Vice President of EMC Global Alliances. "This capability, combined with EMC's own Captiva input management suite, enables Content Server users to directly incorporate paper-based information into their electronic workflows. By empowering document owners to scan documents themselves, eCopy helps organizations improve efficiency and comply with regulations."
The eCopy Connector for EMC Documentum Content Server received design accreditation by meeting high standards for application design, development, configuration, installation processes, and overall quality. As a member of the EMC Documentum Application Developer Program, eCopy received specialized design consultation and guidance, along with access to dedicated EMC content management technical resources.
"eCopy makes it easy for any EMC Documentum user to capture paper-based information," said Vickie Malis, eCopy Vice President of Marketing. "eCopy users follow the same procedures for storing a hardcopy document at the digital copier as they would for an electronic document at their desktop. This essentially eliminates the need for training, enabling rapid user adoption and return on investment."
eCopy will also be able to include specialized "Designed for EMC Documentum" logos on packaging, marketing collateral, and other promotional materials pertaining to their accredited offering, signifying to customers that eCopy meets high standards for architectural compliance with the Documentum architecture and leverages development best practices.
The EMC Documentum Application Developer Program helps independent software vendors, value-added software partners, and system integrators target, design, develop, and go-to-market with successful offerings based on the EMC Documentum platform. As a member, partners can submit their offering to be considered for "Designed for EMC Documentum" accreditation, which ensures their offering has met all requirements to be certified on the Documentum platform.
