Document Management Software Introduces Integration With Microsoft Teams To Improve User Collaboration And To Make FileHold An Organizations ‘Single Point Of Truth'.

Microsoft Teams is a powerful tool for collaborating on documents, it allows multiple users to edit documents at the same time. The FileHold integration with Teams allows users to apply normal controls to these documents as though they were working with them on a local workstation, but they exist in Teams.

Burnaby, BC (PRWEB) - FileHold is a 100% Microsoft centric document management solution (DMS). Since inception FileHold has been tightly integrated with Microsoft Office allowing users to check documents in and out of FileHold, with version control, right from Office. The highly secure Microsoft Azure environment is our “Cloud” solution.

FileHold takes advantage of multi-factor authentication to share a single sign on between Microsoft 365 and other Azure enabled applications. To compliment that capability FileHold has introduced an exciting integration with the very popular Microsoft Teams.

Many scenarios are possible when working with FileHold and Teams. A user can start project documents in Teams. When the project is finished and they are ready for full records control the project documents are added to FileHold in one step. When using FileHold workflow users can check documents out of FileHold and into Teams to allow collaborative revisions before checking them back in and completing the workflow activity. The system will automatically synchronize changes between FileHold and Teams in both directions. FileHold will track all changes via version control showing users the most recent version and allowing a roll back to a previous version if necessary. Users are never confused about which document is the most recent version because FileHold acts as the “Single point of document truth”.

Checked out documents are easily checked-in directly from Teams. It works like the quick check-in option in the FileHold Office Client. Document name and metadata values are copied from the previous version. The “get latest version option” allows users to overwrite linked documents in Teams using the newest version from FileHold. If there is an existing modified version in Teams an appropriate warning is displayed. A FileHold user can remove selected files from Teams where the version in Teams is older than the version in the FileHold library or when the version in Teams is the same as the version in the library.

Larry Oliver, President of FileHold says; " Teams has become a dominant collaboration tool in the marketplace. We spent a lot of time researching and meeting with our customers to understand how they wanted to use Teams and FileHold together. I have now seen this integration presented to a number of our existing customers and every one has seen it as a very positive development especially when they see the Teams Logo imbedded in our application".

FileHold empowers both deskbound and mobile workers to store and find their important documents, including e-mail, while maintaining tight version control and managed workflow. FileHold is deployed on the Microsoft Azure cloud as a fully supported, secure, redundant and managed solution. FileHold Systems Inc, https://www.filehold.com is a privately owned, Microsoft certified, manufacturer of document management and workflow software for mid to large size organizations. There are over 40,000 seats of FileHold software in production throughout the world. FileHold software is the fast track to the “paperless office”. It is easy to use, interfaces with third party applications, is enterprise grade yet remains affordable.
