Document Management: FileWorks And International Virtual Assistants Association Introduce VAExchange - Online Document Management For Virtual Assistants

FileWorks, Inc., a developer of document management software announced recently it has reached agreement with the International Virtual Assistants Association (IVAA) to join their Preferred Partner Program.

Terms of the agreement include the development of the VAExchange website, which will launch during IVAA's online summit on October 19. VAExchange is an online document management website and virtual file cabinet with unique business productivity features tailored to the needs of virtual assistants.

"Partnering with IVAA is an important milestone for FileWorks," said Alan Shaw, CEO of FileWorks. "By combining our 10 years of experience in document management technology with the IVAA's expertise in the virtual professional world, our VAExchange site will provide virtual professionals with the tools they need to become more efficient and more profitable."

Virtual assistants and other virtual professionals utilizing the online document management system as a virtual file cabinet can share files and collaborate with their clients in a secure and protected environment, any time and anywhere there is an Internet connection. VAExchange also includes a growing number of document management tools, such as electronic signatures, document scanning, instant notifications and integrated online faxing.

"As virtual assistants become a more integral part of the modern workforce, it is essential that IVAA partner with companies like FileWorks that can apply years of development experience to build the tools we need to effectively fulfill our role in the emerging workplace," said Candy Beauchamp, President of IVAA. "In my experience, this is the first time we have been invited to be ground-floor contributors to a product tailored specifically for how we work with our clients."

"With the advent of new technologies like VAExchange," Beauchamp continued, "the virtual assistant's ability to support their clients will continue to grow—enhancing the function of the virtual assistant and creating new opportunities."

The VAExchange site will be unveiled during FileWorks' presentation, "Escape the Hourly Rate Trap: How to Build Your Business and Have a Life Too," (IVAA Online VASummit; Oct. 19; 10:45 am EST).
