DocStor Selects ISYS Search Software's Embedded Search Technology To Offer Sophisticated Information Access To New And Existing Clients
OEM partnership agreement to integrate ISYS embedded search technology in DocStor document management solution, serving clients such as the Royal Military Police
ISYS Search Software , a global leader in embedded search and federated access solutions, has announced a new OEM partnership arrangement with DocStor, a UK company offering electronic document management solutions. DocStor will use ISYS Integration Kit to embed enterprise search functionality within its offering to ensure that existing and new clients can access required information, regardless of its location or format.
The partnership between the two organisations began when a joint client – the Royal Military Police (RMP) – was looking to better merge the DocStor content management system with its enterprise search function, provided by ISYS. The two companies were able to work closely to make the two technologies work seamlessly together for the RMP, and this led DocStor to consider offering the ISYS technology to other existing and new clients.
DocStor's eStor product brings an array of document management solutions to organisations of all sizes to help eliminate wasted office space, reduce storage costs as well as help companies move towards a paperless office environment. The addition of ISYS helps users find and locate stored information quickly and easily, and enables enterprise-class federated search, text mining and embedded search capabilities across a broad range of formats, languages and platforms.
"We have successfully worked with the Royal Military Police for a number of years, so we were keen to partner with ISYS to deliver a practical solution," said Barry Minty from DocStor. "The ISYS technology was incredibly straightforward to implement and adds significant value to our customers. We are already progressing a number of other deals involving ISYS, and we feel this will be the start of a successful partnership."
"Document management remains a critical information management layer for businesses of all sizes," said Nicky Doherty, VP EMEA, ISYS Search Software. "But once information has been uploaded and stored, the challenge is enabling enterprise-wide information access. Searching for and locating the required content, whatever and wherever it is, becomes vital to ensuring productivity and efficiency levels remain high. This is the part of the jigsaw that we can work closely with DocStor to accomplish for existing clients like the RMP and others in the future."
