Desktop Scanning: New Canon imageCLASS MF4150 Laser MFP Offers Duplex Printing Capability In A Compact Desktop Design
Canon U.S.A., Inc., the nation's market share brand leader in black-and-white and color laser printer/copier solutions, today unveiled the new imageCLASS MF4150 for small and home offices. Providing small office environments with enhanced functionality, the imageCLASS MF4150 provides duplex output when printing, receiving faxes and copying for letter-sized output in one of Canon's smallest available laser MFPs.
Enhancing small and home office operation, Canon's imageCLASS MF4150 provides duplex output capabilities for printing, copying and receiving faxes. With this duplexing capability customers will be able to significantly reduce paper consumption by duplex printing documents from a PC, or on incoming faxes. The unit also allows users to copy single-sided pages to double-sided output. Through the device's 35-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF), output is easily duplex printed for a more streamlined office workflow.
"Canon offers a complete line of small and home office MFPs suited for any size workflow," said Tod Pike, senior vice president, Imaging Systems Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. "The new imageCLASS MF4150 is one of the most versatile printers in our line-up, packing big office workflow functionality in a small compact device."
The new imageCLASS MF4150 monochrome laser MFP boasts print and copy speeds of up to 21 pages-per-minute (ppm) for letter-sized output. The MF4150 device prints sharp monochrome text with resolution up to 1200 x 600 dpi. Through use of the platen glass or the automatic document feeder (ADF) color scans are captured in 24-bit color at an interpolated resolution of up to 9600 dpi.
The imageCLASS MF4150 features eight one-touch speed dial numbers, 100 coded speed dial numbers, 256-page memory capacity, PC Faxing, and two-sided duplex output combine to provide a robust fax solution in a compact desktop design. The imageCLASS MF4150 uses a 33.6 Kbps Super G3 fax for the rapid transmission of facsimile communications.
The device's 35-page ADF allows one-to-two sided copying, printing, and faxing and is equipped with a 250-sheet front-loading paper cassette that has resides neatly in bottom of the unit. The MF4150 model can copy up to 8.5 inches x 14 inches (legal) from the ADF or letter-sized using the platen glass. For optimal speed when printing and scanning, MF4150 MFP provides a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface. The MF4150 device also offers network connectivity through the optional Axis 1650 network interface.
The imageCLASS MF4150 model also incorporates the Canon Single Cartridge System, which combines the toner and drum in one easy-to-replace unit, resulting in excellent image quality retention and eliminating the complication and warehousing of separate toner and drum consumables.
The manufacturer's suggested retail price of the imageCLASS MF4150 is $249.00 and will begin shipping to retailers in September 25, 2006.
