CYA SmartRecovery And CYA Connector Now Shipping

CYA® Technologies, Inc. today announced the immediate availability of CYA SmartRecovery™ 4.0 for EMC Documentum and CYA Connector for SmartRecovery™.

Specifically developed for enterprise content management systems (ECM), CYA SmartRecovery is the only solution that enables administrators to automatically recover content and its properties in EMC Documentum systems without performing a full-system restore. With the optional CYA Connector for SmartRecovery, administrators can utilize their existing lower cost storage options by leveraging their system-wide backup solutions such as those from Legato, IBM Tivoli and Symantec VERITAS.

• New Architecture: New Java-based architecture environment provides greater flexibility to enhance the product's functionality and ensure compatibility as customers upgrade their EMC Documentum applications.
• New Multiplatform Deployment Options: All components can now be installed on one system, giving administrators greater flexibility to perform recoveries and other tasks from any workstation running Windows, Linux or Unix.

CYA Connector for SmartRecovery:

• Provides Seamless Integration: CYA Connector works with low-cost storage (EMC Center and NetApp NearStore) and traditional backup systems (EMC Legato, Symantec Veritas and IBM Tivoli.)
• Reduces Recovery Time: When prompted by the CYA SmartRecovery client server, CYA Connector locates and retrieves the information for automatic repopulation of content and properties back into the repository.
