Content Management: PaperThin Expands Web Content Management Presence

PaperThin, Inc., a leading mid-market Web content management software vendor, recently announced that it has added four new market-leading customers, and expanded its existing customer footprint and organizational infrastructure in 2007. PaperThin attributes this growth to the strength of its recently released CommonSpot Version 5.0.

Several brand-name customers in the banking, healthcare, manufacturing and printing industries have licensed CommonSpot for its dynamic Web content management functionality. Franchise Services will use CommonSpot to power its Pip Printing and Sir Speedy websites; and Emirates Bank, Hasbro, and Sharp HealthCare will use CommonSpot to manage their websites and corporate intranets.

Additionally, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the US Senate have expanded their use of CommonSpot enterprise-wide within their organizations. Originally powering multiple intranets for the Senate Sergeant At Arms, CommonSpot is now being deployed for all US Senator, Senate Department, and Senate Committee websites. NIST will use CommonSpot to power the NIST.gov website and all 13 of its organizational units. PaperThin has also grown its channel management, marketing, professional services, and support groups to meet growing demand for CommonSpot.

"The primary factors behind PaperThin's growth are the strength of our product--CommonSpot, and the quality of our people" said Todd Peters, founder and president of PaperThin. "We continuously strive to exceed our customer's expectations, whether developing dynamic functionality or delivering the highest level of service possible. That dedication translates to real value for mid- to large-scale organizations."

CommonSpot's most recent release Version 5.0 features a new and intuitive authoring interface, RSS feeds, Blogs, Wikis, and XML publishing and rendering capabilities. The ease-of-use inherent in CommonSpot 5.0 empowers business users to be self-sufficient and productive, build interactive communities, and achieve faster time-to-market; while its flexibility empowers IT and site administrators to easily adapt the system to meet their complex and ever-changing needs. These enhancements enable organizations to achieve better business results.
