Content Management: Acumium Joins Lionbridge CMS Alliance Program

Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. recently announced that Acumium, an e-business strategic consulting and custom software development firm, has joined Lionbridge's newly launched Content Management System (CMS) Alliance Program. Acumium has integrated Freeway, Lionbridge's language management platform, into its WCMS to enable the rapid and cost effective globalization of projects.

Acumium helps organizations shape their complex business ideas in simple, effective software solutions. Acumium's WCMS enables companies to make changes to their Web site quickly and easily without using a complex programming language or spending money to outsource the changes. Linking WCMS with Freeway will allow content managers to initiate and track global content management projects in a single system that does not require additional software purchases and configuration, or the creation of new globalization workflows.

"We have seen a growing demand for our products globally, which is driving a need to keep our newest content available to our increasing global customer base," said Todd Stukenberg, Executive Director of Marketing, Midtronics. "By managing the translation directly from within our Acumium WCMS, we can simplify our efforts of keeping our Web site and other marketing materials up-to-date without having to purchase and integrate additional translation management software. This saves us critical time when launching new content, and ensures we are delivering a consistent message worldwide."

"Adding a direct connection to Lionbridge's Freeway language management platform enables us to extend the value of WCMS for our customers," said Paul Ludwig, CEO, Acumium. "Our customers are rapidly expanding the number of languages and locales they support online, and streamlining management of these new language sites is critical to their success. By embedding Freeway into WCMS, we are giving our customers a more efficient approach to site management and global content management, without requiring additional technology purchases.

Freeway can be connected to CMS platforms via a user-friendly Web services interface. Freeway is offered for free to Lionbridge clients and translation partners as the foundation for a disciplined, managed services approach to translation management. By seamlessly connecting to a client's CMS, Freeway is helping customers reduce turnaround times, lower the total cost of production, and reach new markets, without investing in additional staff or software licenses.
