New Capabilities Make Author-It 5.1 A More Powerful Content Management Option

With new functionality such as Object Variant capability and a Quick Search function, Author-it 5.1 offers increased versatility, while retaining all of the functionality of its predecessor, Author-it 5.0.
One of the inherent difficulties associated with delivering content targeted for different purposes and audiences, is providing a simple, powerful, and effective means of creating, managing, and publishing those variations. Object Variants are an extension of the Author-it model that allows content components, be it text, graphics, links, or even formatting, to have any number of variations created for them based on user-defined criteria. This allows authors to easily create these variations for whatever purpose they need, and manage them together as a single component.
The Quick Search functionality also provides the full set of advanced search options. This new feature saves each search result while the window is open, enabling users to access the results at any time without completing the search again.
