Armedia Launches SharePoint Practice, Solutions

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Armedia LLC, a leading provider of content management software and services, announced today a formal, full-service SharePoint Services Practice.

With a reputation built on end-to-end content management expertise and excellence, Armedia has long been considered the go-to source for Documentum-based services and innovative software solutions. Quietly in development for some time, the SharePoint Services Practice takes Armedia to the next level, by providing SharePoint services as well as SharePoint and Documentum integration.

"Armedia's experience is in deploying end-to-end content management solutions," said Armedia CTO, John Shinnick. "We understand the entire lifecycle, starting with the architecture and infrastructure level through storage, services and delivery. With SharePoint use growing, expanding our services and solutions accordingly enables us to deliver greater value to our clients."

What makes Armedia's offering unique is its level of expertise with both SharePoint and Documentum, as well as the experience in developing and implementing unified, enterprise-level content management strategies based on best practices and real-world experience. With SharePoint implementations spreading like wildfire, and many of these users being under the radar, organizations are at risk.

"There is a real need for a unified policy and protocol," said says Armedia VP of Global Product Sales Leslie Dalton. "There's also an exciting opportunity to bring SharePoint and Documentum together. Armedia can help organizations maximize both tools by making Documentum content available through a SharePoint interface. These cross-platform solutions helps SharePoint users by eliminating the need for them to learn Documentum, and protects the significant investment many organizations have made in Documentum."

Armedia has also recently upgraded its Caliente! product so that it is compatible with SharePoint. Caliente! is a high-volume, scalable solution providing configurable unattended batch imports. Caliente! can process millions of documents with metadata daily. Caliente! "hot" folders watch for changes and move data from workstations to repositories automatically.
