Anacomp To Offer EMC Captiva Solutions To Its Customer Base

Anacomp Inc., a leading business process solutions company, recently announced a new agreement with EMC Corporation, the world leader in information infrastructure solutions, through which Anacomp will utilize EMC's Captiva document capture software as part of the company's on-demand solutions offerings, helping customers reduce operating costs, improve customer service and accelerate document-intensive business processes. In addition, the companies will collaborate on go-to-market activities to take advantage of business opportunities in the financial services, insurance, healthcare, government, legal and other vertical market segments.

Owners of one of the world's largest document repositories, Anacomp has a rich legacy of transforming its customers' paper documents and electronic data into content that is delivered in various media -- the Web, Cds, tape, microfilm, microfiche, etc. -- and used in support of active business applications or for archival purposes. Through this new agreement with EMC, Anacomp will significantly extend the value it offers its customers through in-house or on-demand business process solutions that support the day-forward capture of documents in both central and distributed environments. The interoperability between Anacomp's docHarbor on-demand business platform and EMC's enterprise information infrastructure enables users to greatly expand the benefit they derive from their scanned documents, and unlock the maximum value from their information-centric processes.

"We're delighted Anacomp is demonstrating a commitment to meeting customers' document imaging and data capture needs by leveraging EMC's robust, award-winning document capture solutions as part of the company's on-demand information platform," said Barry Ruditsky, EMC's Vice President of OEM Sales and ISV Business Development, Content Management and Archiving. "We look forward to collaborating with Anacomp to ensure that the information processing needs of our mutual customers are met, whether they desire to implement an in-house document management solution or outsource these processes via an on-demand, software as a service (SaaS) environment."

"We're pleased to expand our hosted document capture and business process solutions leveraging the EMC Captiva portfolio. Our alignment with EMC's content-enabled application strategy allows us to significantly extend the value we offer our customers, empowering them to gain considerably more benefit from their scanned documents," said Wayne Ford, Anacomp's Senior Vice President of Marketing, Channels, and Strategic Alliances. "This alliance is our first step in a journey with EMC towards bolstering our data center infrastructure and our document capture and business process solution offerings. We look forward to working together with EMC to reach enterprise and government customers who desire flexible solution delivery models to streamline and accelerate their document-intensive business processes."

The EMC Captiva suite transforms business-critical information from paper, fax and electronic data sources into business-ready content suitable for processing by enterprise applications.
