Travelling wave tubes are vacuum devices with electron beams that couple to a microwave frequency electromagnetic signal propagating in the direction of the beam. Energy is transferred to the microwave signal, and the device generally behaves as an amplifier. A suite of software has been created, which allows very fast automated analysis of some types of travelling wave tube. This white paper delves into the design and use of this software to be used for determining the electrical characteristics of traveling wave tubes. Download the full paper for more information.
