StoredIQ Intelligent Information Management Platform Receives "Designed For EMC Documentum" Accreditation

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--StoredIQ, a leading provider of enterprise-class intelligent information management technology, today announced that its StoredIQ appliance has received the "Designed for EMC® Documentum®" accreditation, a mark of quality and value that customers can depend on in enterprise applications. The "Designed for EMC Documentum" accreditation demonstrates that the StoredIQ Intelligent Information Platform has successfully met a comprehensive set of criteria for solid design and quality integration.

With StoredIQ, companies can search, tag, move or copy content to EMC Documentum servers. From a records management perspective, StoredIQ can discover electronically stored information (ESI) located on file shares, collaboration servers, and desktops/laptops, classify and deduplicate unmanaged ESI, and automatically insert those items as new records into EMC Documentum. StoredIQ can automatically and seamlessly place those records under litigation hold using EMC Documentum's advanced preservation functionality.

The StoredIQ Intelligent Information Management appliance is uniquely designed to manage the functional intersection of records management, eDiscovery and storage management. As part of an overall information lifecycle management strategy, StoredIQ provides a holistic classification, business policy and action framework to execute litigation hold, storage optimization and document retention and destruction policies.

"EMC's customers need solutions that efficiently automate content-based business processes while complying with regulatory compliance mandates," said Randy Ziegler, Director, Developer & ISV Relations at EMC Corporation. "StoredIQ meets that need. This accreditation provides our customers with the assurance of the solution's seamless integration with EMC Documentum and at the same time recognizes the company for its superior and innovative product offering."

"StoredIQ is an EMC Select partner and also provides support for EMC's Centera and Celerra storage platforms in addition to EMC Documentum," said Ursula Talley, vice president of marketing at StoredIQ. "Leveraging both companies' technologies provides the end-user with the ability to proactively manage all of their information and reduce the risk and cost associated with unstructured data."

The StoredIQ Intelligent Information Platform received design accreditation through participation in the Designed for EMC process, which is designed to help ISVs, VSPs and SIs design, develop and go-to-market with successful offerings based on the EMC Documentum platform. As a member, StoredIQ received specialized design consultation and guidance, along with access to dedicated content management technical resources. Partners can submit their offerings to be considered for the "Designed for EMC Documentum" accreditation – which if achieved, signifies to customers that the offering meets high standards for architectural compliance with Documentum practices and will provide a reliable integration with less uncertainty for joint customers.
