Plustek Technology Inc., a manufacturer of consumer, prosumer, professional and office imaging devices (including portable scanners, sheet fed/flat bed scanners, and graphics scanners), announced recently its partnership with gDocScan which allow its MobileOffice and SmartOffice scanners to scan and index documents directly to Google Docs.

Plustek's MobileOffice and SmartOffice series scanners all have Plustek's DocAction feature which allows them interface to gDocScan with a single touch button.

Executive Technologies, Inc. is the developer of gDocScan Document Management software, which reduces time spent finding, copying and organizing paper and digital documents by organizing them with user-defined indexes.

"You can scan, OCR (optical character recognition) and index documents directly from Plustek to Google's Cloud," said Jim Geer, president of Executive Technologies. "You can also search your documents by user-defined index fields, such as customer name and document type, as well as the OCR'ed text."

gDocScan is particularly suited to organizations with multiple locations or professionals in the field because it allows for scanning from the multiple locations to the Google Cloud where anyone can search and view the documents. gDocScan is operational on Windows 2008/7/XP/Vista/2003 platforms.
