Kofax Named To Software Magazine's 26th Annual Software 500

BASINGSTOKE, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kofax plc (LSE: KFX), the leading provider of Intelligent Capture & Exchange solutions, today announced it has been named to Software Magazine's 26th annual Software 500 ranking of the world's largest software companies. This is the second consecutive year that Kofax has been included.

"Kofax continues to expand its position as the leading provider of capture software and services through a focused strategy of delivering advanced solutions across all key market segments, from enterprise-level customers to single users," said Andrew Pery, Chief Marketing Officer at Kofax. "Inclusion in this year's Software 500 is further validation of our strategies. Kofax is well-positioned to take advantage of new opportunities, compete aggressively, and lead in all market sectors for years to come."

The 2008 Software 500 ranking is based on total worldwide software and services revenue for 2007. This includes revenues from software licenses, professional services, training and maintenance and support programs.

"The Software 500 helps CIOs, senior IT managers and IT staff research and create a short list of potential business partners," said John P. Desmond, Editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com. He added that the revenue-based ranking focuses on suppliers that target medium to large enterprises and their IT professionals, as well as software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing. "It is a quick reference of vendor viability."

During 2008, Kofax is again focused on growing its software business. In October 2008 alone, the company unveiled two major new products – Kofax Express, an easy-to-use, scan-to-archive solution for SMB batch scanning applications; and Kofax eTransactions, a new electronic invoice processing solution which, when used with Kofax Capture and Transformation Modules, allows organizations to capture information arising in both paper and electronic invoice formats.
