ImageSoft Selected To Streamline Workplace Efficiency For Bowling Green, KY

Automated and digitized system will save City of Bowling Green time and money

Southfield, MI (PRWEB) - ImageSoft, Inc., has been awarded a document management conversion project for the City of Bowling Green, KY, following a short list of contenders vying for the enterprise content management business. ImageSoft will reconfigure the City’s technology and design an affordable and agile solution which includes taking the City digital and automating its processes.

The City’s goal is to improve efficiency and lower costs by using digitized documents to drive processes and conserve paper. Bowling Green, the third-largest city in Kentucky, serves roughly 63,600 constituents and employs more than 600 people. With more than 300 document management system users and 600,000 City records stored in the repository, a more efficient system is crucial for the City.

Selecting ImageSoft eliminates the need for multiple vendors and allows the City to expand beyond basic functions of document management software to an enterprise solution that provides records, electronic forms and business process management.

Bowling Green previously invested in another software platform but the option to add on more functionality would have been cost-prohibitive without offering an efficient workflow solution. Replacing the current document management system means individual departments can organize documents specific for their needs and also set up the right security.

The City’s online forms and scanning solution will be replaced by ImageSoft utilizing the product - OnBase by Hyland Software. Moving to the user-friendly software will allow for easy digital form creation that many constituents use and workflow to route the forms, so there won’t be a need to print paper.

“We’ve evolved to needing more than just document management. I’ve been here almost 11 years and I think this is one of the top three things I’ve been excited about in terms of potential of what we can do with our employees,” says Lynn Hartley, CIO, City of Bowling Green, KY. “We chose this solution to help the City get fully integrated with an enterprise content management system. We’ll now have a simple way to create workflows and approvals. We’ll gain records retention, records management and a public-facing portal. By consolidating our processes, we’ll complete the same work more efficiently and provide improved service to our constituents.”

An ImageSoft versatile solution will improve the way users retain access, share, analyze and process critical information through the use of ECM technology. “ImageSoft is proud to collaborate with the City of Bowling Green to automate its workflow and document management,” says ImageSoft CEO Dave Hawkins. “With our robust solution, the City will be able to streamline their internal processes, operate much more efficiently and obtain enhanced security features.”
