ibml Strengthens BPO Provider’s SLA

Business Process Outsourcing and Information Management Services implements ibml's ImageTrac and SoftTrac Capture Suite.

ORS Group has selected the ibml ImageTrac scanner and SoftTrac capture software to augment the services offered to customers. With more than 25 years’ experience in document scanning, ORS Group is recognized as one of the U.K.'s leading BPO providers.

ORS Group was founded in 1988 and was originally known as Optical Record Systems. During those early days, the majority of the work undertaken was microfiche scanning for the Ministry Of Defense in the U.K. Fast-forward to today where the majority of work ORS Group does is based around document scanning services and document management software solutions.

The company offers a wide range of end-to-end business solutions and business process outsourcing (BPO) services, with a focus on data capture and character recognition technologies. As part of this progression to offering more advanced services, ORS reviewed its core scanning technology and selected ibml's ImageTrac and SoftTrac Capture Suite to form the backbone of its physical capture processes.

“As we advance the sophistication of our services, it is key that our scanning technology keeps pace,” said Simon Challis, Managing Director ORS Group. “ibml scanners and software provide both the capacity and the process intelligence to form the capabilities required to feed both our traditional archival and our more advanced business process-based services.”

ImageTrac intelligent scanners are installed in the most demanding document imaging, document management, and ECM environment, and are proven to help customers lower operating costs, accelerate access to information, and eliminate downstream exceptions.

There are five different models available for clients to choose from:

ORS Group has relied on Kodak Alaris, a reseller of ibml technologies, for years now with significant success. As ORS Group continues to expand the number of projects it is working on, the firm plans to add more ibml technology where appropriate. With an ibml capture platform and architecture in place, adding more capacity and intelligence is a simple plug and play process.
