Gentry County, Mo., is now accepting electronic documents for recording documents through Simplifile, providing customers with a faster, more efficient online recording method.

Gentry County, MO (PRWEB) - Gentry County is now accepting electronic documents for recording through Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service, providing customers with a faster, more efficient online recording method.

“E-recording is instantaneous,” said Gentry County Circuit Clerk and Recorder Janet Parsons. “If a document needs to be rejected, you know immediately and don't have to wait for it to be returned in the mail; this is especially beneficial for out-of-state companies."

According to Parsons, the clerk’s office is accepting all document types for e-recording that are currently accepted at the office, and local customers will still have the option to bring in or send their recordings.

Using Simplifile’s web-based service, customers can securely log in, scan, upload and submit documents for recording in minutes.

Recording fees and payments can also be processed securely through Simplifile, eliminating check-writing expenses and reducing payment errors.

“In July the Circuit Court part of what we do is going to start e-filing,” Parsons said. “It just made sense to do the recording side as well. With technology, e-filing is the future.”

Gentry County joins 59 other e-recording counties in Missouri in addition to more than 1,200 recording jurisdictions nationwide that e-record with Simplifile.

“We’re excited to help bring this cost-effective, convenient service to Gentry County,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “E-recording has unquestionably become the standard for submitting public documents for recording today and it’s wonderful to see the number of counties implementing this service continue to grow throughout the state of Missouri and across the nation.”

High-speed Internet access, a PC, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for customers to begin e-recording with Simplifile.
