State Of South Dakota Selects ImageNow
Perceptive Software, creator of ImageNow enterprise document management, imaging and workflow software, today announced the state of South Dakota's Bureau of Finance and Management has selected ImageNow for implementation in its human resources, benefits, worker's compensation and classification/training departments.
South Dakota's Bureau of Finance and Management operates collaboratively with the public and key governmental agencies within the executive branch regarding the management and execution of fiscal policy.
Perceptive Software's patented LearnMode™ technology will enable ImageNow to seamlessly integrate with the Bureau of Finance and Management's existing Lawson application used in its human resources and benefits departments. The same patented technology facilitates a non-programmatic integration with any core business application.
"The state of South Dakota chose ImageNow based upon ImageNow's ability to communicate specifically with Lawson and our other systems without customization," said Colin Keeler, Bureau of Finance and Management's director of financial systems.
ImageNow will centralize access to thousands of documents that were once stored as paper in several different physical locations. The Bureau of Finance and Management expects the solution to streamline most of the manual, paper-driven processes that were required in the past.
The state will utilize the Managed Services team at Perceptive Software to provide remote administration for the deployment. The selection of the remote administration offering will allow the Bureau of Finance and Management to off-load many ImageNow administrative tasks to the expert resources at Perceptive Software.
"As a state government, we are always trying to do more with less and the remote administration offering will allow us to maximize the return on our investment of taxpayers' dollars," added Keeler. "The benefits provided for the relative cost were great considering we won't need to rely on internal resources that are already stretched very thin."
Following the initial implementation of ImageNow, the Bureau of Finance and Management will explore the deployment of the solution in conjunction with the state's centralized budget and accounting systems.
