SpringCM, Inc., the leader in on-demand document management and workflow, is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Version 4.5 of its award-winning Software-as-a-Service content management system. The new release includes 54 features and enhancements designed to improve document-centric processing and the SpringCM user experience.

Dan Carmel, CEO of SpringCM, commented on the new release, ³Version 4.5 is another strong step forward for SpringCM and again highlights the advantages of delivering ECM as a service. As with our previous releases, SpringCM customer feedback was instrumental in guiding our development efforts, and many of the new features are directly attributable to user suggestions.

This release adds key capabilities to enable process managers to manage work more effectively, identify and resolve process bottlenecks and gain insights into key business and process metrics. Security and audit enhancements support our enterprise customers. These ideas have helped us to develop the industry¹s broadest and most complete on-demand content management platform.²

Major new capabilities in SpringCM Version 4.5 include: Improved process management - The newly added Managers Workflow Console allows managers and supervisors to view summary data for all work assigned to their department, including completed tasks and work-in-progress. New filtering and sorting functions enable managers to see specific views of data by user or process, enhancing visibility into resource deployment and enabling quicker identification of process bottlenecks. Managers can also use the Managers Workflow Console to easily reassign processes and tasks from one worker to another.

Improved management insight through improved Custom Reporting - Enhanced point-and-click Custom Reporting provides benchmark data for driving process improvements. Reports can be generated on sub-processes or end-to-end processes and can include totals, averages and standard deviation. Graphing and charting features enable identification of trends and more effective communication of key business metrics.

Improved security and compliance through enhanced versioning and audit trails - New filters available in Document History enable the user to quickly focus on specific historical events. Users can filter on previous versions of documents or on events such as metadata changes, who viewed a document, when documents were sent out for electronic signature, who signed the document and specific download activity.

Enhanced user productivity with drag and drop ¬ Moving documents in SpringCM is much easier with the addition of simple drag and drop functionality that allows users to move documents, folders and eForms with one mouse click, streamlining the user experience. Enhanced Account Security - A new Account Security section has been added to give the administrator more granular control over SpringCM account security policies. Additional provisions have been made for password history controls, password expiration timeframes, maximum number of login attempts before a user is locked out, authorized IP address ranges and settings to restrict user login hours. Many additional user improvements have been added to Version 4.5, including the ability to separate PDF documents such as faxes into multiple documents; creation of saved searches to speed up common search tasks; expanded options for bulk upload and migration; and enhancements to the Advanced Workflow activity functions.
