Kyocera Mita America Simplifies Print-Copy Tracking, Analyzing And Cost Recovery For Enterprises, Government Agencies And Educational Institutions

Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document solutions companies, recently announced the availability of two new optional print management software solutions— provided by Equitrac Corporation, the leader in intelligent cost recovery and print management solutions worldwide — to simplify print-copy tracking, and offer businesses and organizations greater management insight into document output volumes and reduce overall print waste.

The software, Equitrac Office and Equitrac Express, will be available as an Equitrac Embedded solution on select Kyocera multifunctional products (MFPs) or as a terminal-based software offering, and provides advanced monitoring and document cost control for Kyocera's award-winning product line.

Positioned toward the enterprise, government and small-to-medium business (SMB) markets, Equitrac Office for Kyocera's product line allows employees to print documents in a secure manner to devices within the organization — across servers, departments or locations. At the same time, administrators can track all print activity and contain costs, independent of the organization's size. Offered as a device-embedded or terminal-based software solution, Kyocera's objective is to simplify an organization's tracking and management requirements while promoting end-user flexibility within the office environment.

Equitrac Express has been designed to meet the document output requirements for educational institutions or organizations that have a need to charge users who utilize the devices found in those environments. This software can integrate with leading campus card systems; enabling universities to spend less on administrative and management costs as every student, teacher and staff member is accountable for each page they print. With this solution, Kyocera is helping institutions best allocate costs through a centrally managed application to provide reliable and secure print tracking for printers, copiers and MFPs.

"In today's fast-paced business climate, we see more end-users looking for ways to control printing costs, without sacrificing workplace performance, productivity or security," said Victor Moro, marketing and solutions manager, Monochrome MFPs, Kyocera Mita America. "With Kyocera's Equitrac-enabled solutions in place, organizations can gain immediate value as document output is maximized and print waste is reduced – all through simplified tracking, analyzing and allocating of document output cost per device."

The Kyocera MFPs compatible with the Equitrac Embedded solutions include select models from Kyocera's line of monochrome MFPs, including: the KM-5050, KM-4050 and the KM-3050. Equitrac's terminal-based solution supports most Kyocera MFPs and printers.
