Mistake # 1: Not Understanding Your Document Types and How They Impact Your Capture Efficiency
If you look up document type on Wikipedia you will find that it defines a document type as a set of markup declarations that define a document type for SGML-family markup languages (SGML, XML, HTML). As you may already have figured out from the title, that is not what we are talking about in this article. We are talking about the different document types that are used in businesses, such as invoices or employee benefits or bill of ladings. We are talking about the importance of understanding the structure of various document types in order to make a good decision in buying a data capture system.
